Our Campus

Don Bosco Central School situated in the cultural town of Irinjalakuda in Thrissur district. Conveniently located away from the hustle and bustle of the main road, the campus lies on a picturesque plot full of greenery, along with Don Bosco HSS School, Don Bosco Lower Primary School. A safe idyllic surrounding for learning.

Chapel and Grotto

Prayer plays a central role in the educative system of Don Bosco. The soul of the Don Bosco School lies in the chapel. The Don Bosco chapel, which is old as the school, is a place for meditation and prayer for all. Grotto of Our Blessed Mother, located at the entrance of the school, is a favourite place for quick prayer for faculty, students and the public. Thus the Don Bosco Chapel and the Grotto of our Blessed Mother, is a source of strength and protection for all who come into our campus.

School Library

Library is a catalyst for literacy, reading, for teaching and scaffolding inquiry learning. School libraries make a difference to students’ understanding and achievement and provide support for teaching and learning throughout the school. Our school library is equipped with a variety of books on a wide range of subjects.

Computer Lab

To enhance the scientific and technological research and invention capacity of students a computer laboratory is essential. The school provides a well-equipped computer lab with the latest hardware and software configurations that would enhance the knowledge of students in information and technology.

Science Lab

To enhance the learning experiences of students the school has state-of-the-art laboratories for physics, chemistry, botany and zoology. They are well equipped with the most modern technology for experimentation and critical thinking

Children's Park

Exciting, engaging and challenging playground equipment is important to keep children happy while still developing their learning abilities. The school has a specious and well equipped children’s park with many slides, swings, double bar, see-saw, merry-go-round, Zig- Zag balancing, Jungle-jim, giraffe ladder, etc.

Indoor Stadium

Don Bosco indoor stadium is a massive, all weather and multipurpose facility with a seating capacity of 2000, where a variety of literary, cultural and indoor sports events like basketball, table tennis, shuttle badminton are conducted. Many interschool competitions hosted by the school are also staged at this venue.

Indoor Swimming Pool

An indoor swimming pool in the school opens the door for sports opportunities and aquatic activities. The school has a child friendly and modern pool in the campus with all the facilities.

School Counselling

To provide personalized care and support for students we have a professional and experienced counsellor in the school. Along with individual counselling for students the Centre also provides parental guidance, workshops, motivational classes and group counselling.

Kindergarten

Set in a serene atmosphere, away from the main building, Don Bosco’s Kindergarten is an artistically designed edifice tastefully done up and equipped and provided with ample facilities for work, play and recreation. Manned by a team of trained, professionally competent, devoted and dedicated teachers, the school really is an extension of their home.

Transport

Our school owns its own fleet of buses available for students to reach school even from far flung areas of the town. They have been specifically designed and equipped to meet the safety and standards set out by the motor vehicle authority of Kerala. Manned by trained drivers and personnel sensitized to the needs of small children for supervision and monitoring a transport attendant is on board throughout the journey.

Security

The school campus and the corridors of the primary building are under video surveillance. In keeping with the ‘Salesian Presence’ the teachers take turns to do recess duty. This enhances not only the safety of our students but also helps to build a healthy teacher-student relationship.

Counselling

It’s not usual for any child to experience some anxiety and sadness as a normal part of growing up. If, however, this becomes a roadblock to their learning and adapting, our counsellors are available to help the students work through and resolve the issue.
