Don Bosco Central School

School Council

The school council represents the views of all pupils.  It gives children the opportunity to make their voice heard and feel part of the whole school community. It also ensures that the school stays true to its mission and strategic direction so that it can prosper for future generations.

HOUSE SYSTEM

“Camaraderie and solidarity is second to none and the benefits of this vertical interaction, where the young look up to the elder and where the elder look out for and support the younger, are profound”.

The House system gives students of all ages the opportunity to work together, creating a truly cohesive environment and ensuring that age is not a barrier to friendship and collaboration. The investiture ceremony at beginning of the school year confers the responsibility to house captions to take charge. The House Captains hone their leadership skills in the role, managing not only their peers but also learning how to ‘manage up’ among the staff body. The entire school is divided into four houses. They are Blue, Green, Red and Yellow. Points are awarded for Study, Sports, Discipline and Activities. Certificates and Medals are awarded after every Inter House Competition. The Best House in Study, Discipline and Activities as well as the Champion House is announced on the Annual Result Day.
